In 2007 I stayed at the Inkaterra Lodge at Tambopata for New Year. Every morning I was woken by a birdcall which I haven't yet been able to identify (it wasn't the oropendola or toucan) and was simply a deep, cavernous 'bloop' which echoed through the reserve, then a pause, then another bloop.
Can anyone tell me what bird this was?
